Jessica Sipple

Jessica Sipple is a Music Education Major at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She performs in the Meadows Symphony Orchestra under Dr. Paul Phillips, and the Meadows Wind Ensemble under Dr. Jack Delaney. She studies oboe and English horn with Erin Hannigan, Principal Oboist of the Dallas Symphony. Jessica teaches oboe lessons at Robinson Middle School in Plano. This year she will serve as President of the C-MENC chapter at Southern Methodist University. In addition to her studies she will work part-time as the C hildren’s Music Coordinator at First United Methodist of Hurst where she will direct a children’s choir.

Jessica attended Richland High School and performed in the band under the direction of Bill Watson. While in high school Jessica won the Texas All-State Band Award for three consecutive years. Jessica played oboe in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra for two years. She traveled to Europe with the orchestra, playing in seven concerts in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

Jessica will graduate from Southern Methodist University in December 2008. She plans to student teach in Duncanville Independent School District in the following spring.
